Kävele villillä puolella

My four-year-old asks for this one every night now, mostly because the moose keeps trying to one-up the bear and she thinks that's hilarious. The illustrations are bright enough to hold her attention, and the lesson about not turning everything into a race actually lands without feeling preachy.

The way the beaver’s competitive streak unfolds is so true to life—my kids giggle every time he tries to one-up the bear. It’s a clever story about friendship that doesn’t preach, and the pacing keeps even my wiggly four-year-old engaged until the last page.

The illustrations really capture the chaos of three competitive friends, and my son giggles every time the beaver’s plans backfire. It’s become our go-to for teaching a light lesson about teamwork without feeling preachy, and the story keeps a good pace for a bedtime read.
