The rhyming text is so soothing—my son repeats "in my father's arms" with me now. The illustrations capture that safe, cozy feeling perfectly.

My toddler asks for this one every single night now, and the line about his arms being magic gets me every time. The illustrations of the dad and kid are so warm and simple that we usually end up just looking at the pages together.

The rhyming text makes this one of the few bedtime books I don't mind reading four nights in a row. My daughter points at the illustrations on every page and asks for "one more." It's become our default goodbye book before I leave for work.
