The dog asking for apple juice after the donut gets my toddler giggling every single time, and now she finishes the line before I do. Sturdy board pages too, which matters since it's been dropped and chewed on.
My niece makes me read this one at least three times before bed, and she cracks up every time the dog starts listing things he wants. The cause-and-effect chain is simple enough that she can "read" it back to me from memory now.
The apple juice part gets my toddler every time — she points at the glass and yells "juice!" before I can even turn the page. We've read it so often the spine's already creasing, which honestly says more than I could.
