The lift-the-flaps are thick enough that my two-year-old hasn't torn one yet, which says a lot. She loves shouting the animal name before she even lifts it, and the clues actually make her think instead of just guessing.
My toddler asks for this one every night—the guessing clues keep her engaged and she squeals when she flips the flap to see if she's right. The board pages have held up well to her enthusiastic page-turning, and the forest animal illustrations are charming enough that I don't mind the repetition.
The flaps are sturdy enough that my two-year-old can flip them without tearing, and the clue-and-guess format keeps her engaged through the whole book. We've read it three times in one sitting, and she still gets excited when the fox is revealed.
