My daughter has asked me to read this story about Elsie searching for Bun Bun on Cricket Island at least five times already — she loves naming all the neighborly friends who help along the way.
The illustrations of Cricket Island are gorgeous, and my son loves spotting all the neighborly friends Elsie visits along the way. It's become our go-to bedtime pick, and I catch myself flipping ahead just to see how the search ends.
My daughter makes me read this every night and she's started calling her own stuffed bunny Bun Bun, which is adorable. The illustrations of Cricket Island are gorgeous, and I love that the neighborly friends actually help move the search along instead of just being background.
