Tiny T. Rex and the Impossible Hug

Our toddler asks for this one every night — the way Tiny keeps trying to hug with his little arms is both hilarious and sweet. It's a great reminder about persistence and friendship, and the story reads aloud perfectly.

The art is what got me — Tiny's stubby little arms reaching for Pointy just kills me every time. My kid now narrates the whole "impossible hug" plan out loud while flipping the pages. Sweet story about a friend who needs cheering up, and it lands without being preachy.

My 4-year-old asks for this one at bedtime almost every night now, mostly because of how Pointy's problem gets solved in such a silly, roundabout way. It's a picture book, so we're through it in about ten minutes, which is perfect for a toddler's attention span.
